There’s no room for Christmas stress on this cruise; the Christmas itinerary will fulfill all your wishes—Melk Abbey, followed by the frosty landscape of the enchanting Wachau. And then, to mark the occasion, opulent wine. Danube Baroque and imperial grandeur bathed in sparkling lights. Plenty of delicacies await your taste buds. Gourmet buffets and Christmas Eve menus compete to impress you.
All cruises are international, meaning that all materials—such as menus, shipboard announcements, etc.—are in English. Similarly, excursions are available with English-speaking guides, and the crew on board speaks English (and usually German as well).
Wachau - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies in the Danube Valley and enchants visitors with its beautiful scenery at Christmas. And you shouldn’t miss the dominant landmark—the Benedictine Abbey of Melk—where the town and nature come together in a special harmony. The valley is lined with steep hills where the finest grape varieties in Europe ripen. Among them, you’ll discover a castle, a chateau, or a romantic ruin steeped in legends, such as those from the Napoleonic Wars.
Vienna - Sisi is always on TV at Christmas, but it’s even better to go see her in person! We recommend that clients park directly in Passau. Clients can make their own parking reservations, or we’ll be happy to assist them with the reservation free of charge. Reservations are made through Globus Parkhaus. You can make a reservation online at www.globus-group.de. Payment is made on site in cash or by EC card. The price includes a bus transfer to and from the ship, including luggage.
We recommend booking parking well in advance.
